About this Resource

The Chinese economy has been quite resilient in the wake of reduced global economic prospects -a result of stronger domestic demand. China's GDP will expand by 8.2% and 8.9% in 2012 & 2013, respectively. GBTA expects resulting business travel spending to increase by nearly 17% in 2012 to $202billion USD. The following year will see travel spend expand by just over 21%.

The GBTA BTI™ Outlook - China includes the GBTA Business Travel Index™ (GBTA BTI™). The GBTA BTI™ provides a way to distill market performance and the outlook for business travel into a single metric that can be tracked over time.
