GBTA Business Traveler Sentiment Index™ Global Report – January 2017, In partnership with American Express®

Description
The GBTA Business Traveler Sentiment Index™ Global Report — January 2017, in partnership with American Express, aims to understand how business travelers feel about their travel experiences and how those feelings affect their travel behaviors. The results of this edition of the research are based on an online survey conducted by the GBTA Foundation from September 6 to 26, 2016. The survey polled 3,220 full-time and part-time employees in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States who traveled for business at least four times in the previous 12 months.

The GBTA Business Traveler Sentiment Index™ consists of seven key components of the business travel experience: Overall Trip Experience and Travel Friction; Expense Tracking and Management; Travel Management Policy Friction; Business Traveler Safety; Corporate and Macroeconomic Environment; Technology for Business Travel; and Social Media Experience. Each component is tracked to see how it changes over time and a new value is calculated based on the percentage change. The January 2017 report is the sixth wave of this research, which was first conducted in the first quarter of 2015 against an index of 100 in each category.
