Join the Conversation: Scaling Sustainable Aviation Fuel in Corporate Travel

Aviation is one of the most challenging sectors to decarbonize. For companies that rely on air travel to meet their business objectives, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is one of the few credible solutions available today to abate these emissions and achieve sustainability targets. Yet, adoption in corporate travel remains limited.

According to the GBTA Sustainability Acceleration Challenge, only 12% of companies are currently purchasing SAF. Why the slow uptake? Travel managers point to tight budgets, confusion around SAF certificates, and a purchasing process that feels complex and unclear.

The truth is, corporate travel has the potential to be a powerful catalyst for scaling the SAF market, but to unlock that potential, we need to work together.

That’s why the GBTA Foundation launched SAF Corporate Connect — designed to break down barriers and accelerate action. This forum brings together the business travel community to exchange real-world insights, ask tough questions, share lessons learned, and access practical tools that make SAF adoption easier.

Whether you're just starting your SAF journey or looking to take your program to the next level, this is your space to engage, learn, and lead.

Ask questions. Share experiences. Drive change. Welcome to the SAF Corporate Connect members-only discussion hub.

Here are some questions to get the conversation started:

  • Have you already purchased SAF for your corporate travel program? If so, what motivated your organization to take that step?
  • What’s one thing you wish you had known before purchasing SAF?
  • Where are you in your SAF journey: just exploring, piloting, or scaling? What’s been the biggest barrier so far?
  • If you haven't purchased SAF yet, what would need to change to make it a viable option for your company?
